As House Manager, Ava dedicates their years of experience in Front of House and customer service to curation of the film-going experience, aspiring to make sure that everyone leaves their IU Cinema encounter looking forward to the next.
Ava holds a bachelor’s degree from IU in Anthropology and Religious Studies. They attended their first IU Cinema screening in September 2013 (The Social Network), and in 2018 they started volunteering as an usher before shortly after joining part-time staff as Front of House. Ava’s complementary professional ventures over the years have included time at a local bakery, a blink as a barista, and most recently, a lovely spell at a local school. They are devoted to the exhibition of film, and to their cats.
